Did you collect keepsakes from your travels? ✈️

In preparation for our new exhibition, Come Fly With Me, we issued a public call for material and were delighted by the wonderful response.

Rosemary O’Tierney, a former air hostess, kept baggage labels from her travels around the world, creating a unique record of her journeys.

A big thank you to Rosemary, and to everyone who generously offered and loaned material. Your contributions have helped enrich this exhibition with personal stories of travel!

Visit Come Fly With Me: Aviation, tourism and Irish design from Friday 17 July. Free admission.

Come Fly With Me

Given huge autonomy by Aer Lingus and Sun Advertising, the Dutch designers focused on what they saw as unique to Ireland and of interest to prospective tourists. They took familiar motifs: lakes, mountains, cottages, fishing boats, the Dublin quays, and framed these within a visual Modernism informed by European and US illustrative styles.

Visit the new exhibition from Friday to explore. Admission free of charge and no booking necessary.
