The benefits of Ayran
Ayran contains electrolytes, which help us to prevent dehydration by refuelling the body with water and electrolytes. Dehydration occurs when more water and fluids leave the body than enter it. Even low levels of dehydration can cause headaches, dizziness and constipation. It is especially useful during summer when people spend a lot of time outdoors in the sun and heat.
Ayran is produced from the leaven that contains lactic acid bacteria. One of the health benefits of Ayran is that by the fermentation lactose (milk’s natural sugar) is broken down to simpler components. Thus, this makes digestion of drink easier than its predecessors milk. During fermentation, the conversion of lactose into lactic acid is a proven benefit for the lactose intolerant people, who are not able to digest eaw milk.
