New collaboration announcement ✨
Studio11asfa is happy to share the participation of our collaborator Dr. Adonis Stoantzikis in a new seminar series at the Museum of Cycladic Art, developed in the context of the exhibition Jeff Koons: Venus of Lespugue.
Together with art theorist and education curator Ellie Paxinou, he co-organizes a cycle of interactive discussions exploring how we look at, interpret, and evaluate contemporary art.
A seminar series focused on dialogue, perception, critical thinking, and the shifting relationship between aesthetics, meaning, and the art world.

Lecture / Artist Talk
Strategies for the Autobiographical
By Pandelis Diamantdes
In contemporary artistic practice, the autobiographical is not necessarily aligned with confession or the representation of personal experience, but operates as a methodological and conceptual framework for organizing material, time, and relations.
The lecture examines strategies through which the personal is transformed into a system for the production of form and knowledge — from the translation of biological data into artistic structures to the construction of computational and collective conditions of experience.
Through examples of works situated between multimedia installations and expanded-media performances, the talk explores how the body, rhythm, listening, and code may function as relational agents. The autobiographical is approached not as a narrative of identity, but as a dynamic field in which the “I” operates as a node within a network of experience.

The multimedia exhibition «The Horde: our wayward remains» invites the viewer to a new navigation into the world of the Horde, in an intoxicating environment consisting of material documents of the collective game The Horde: Doomer Mode, which was realized at the 11th studio of ASFA and broadcasted live at The Overkill Festival in the Netherlands, in November 2023. The game followed the methodology of LARP (Live Action Role-Playing) games and unfolded within a post-pandemic reality designed and built by the students of the 11th studio. In the world of The Horde, three cursed clans of players fight for their survival: the Clerks, the Nosferati, and the Harmonians. Students from studio 11 revisit the world of The Horde, recycling its remnants and reviving its narrative thread (lore) using a range of tools, from installations to game engines.
