And God said... "Let there be light".

Before God said let there be light there was darkness.
It is amazing how we easily remember everything after the "let there be light" but forget that there was darkness before.
Truthfully, that is the end goal, to not dwell on the dark and troubling side of things.
In moments of doubt, fear, anxiety, unfortunate situations, ...remember that there was darkness(which is not of God) and He said, "let there be light".

He is who He says He is.
He says "I am, that I am".

He takes away the darkness. He holds you steadfast and not only promises but delivers on bringing the light into your life.

Psalm 23
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
