SIC Life Insurance Ltd, headline sponsor of the 2nd Association of Rural Banks (ARB) Ghana Women’s Conference, reaffirmed its commitment to promoting sustainable financial inclusion, good governance, and women’s leadership in rural and community banking.
Speaking at the event themed “DRIVING SUSTAINABLE FINANCIAL INCLUSION AND GOOD GOVERNANCE IN RURAL AND COMMUNITY BANKS THROUGH ESG PRINCIPLES”, The Managing Director of SIC Life, Ing. Solomon Twum Barima highlighted the crucial role of insurance in national development and encouraged rural banks to transfer risk to insurers for greater sustainability.
He higlighted some misconceptions about life insurance, noting that unlike savings and pensions, its core purpose is to protect beneficiaries and preserve a policyholder’s legacy. Ing. Twum Barima also announced SIC Life’s ongoing integration with key state institutions to automate verification and reduce claims processing time.
As part of its financial inclusion efforts, SIC Life is partnering with rural banks to support SME financing, women-led businesses, agribusiness and agro-processing, while also promoting insurance-backed savings. The Managing Director further expressed SIC Life’s readiness to co-develop innovative financial products with rural banks to extend protection to underserved communities and strengthen Ghana’s economic resilience.

SIC Life & Ghana National Fire Service Seal Major MoU to Boost Officers’ Welfare
SIC Life Insurance LTD has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) to enhance protection, safety, and financial security for fire officers and their families.
The ceremony, witnessed by the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, highlighted government’s commitment to improving welfare for frontline personnel. He applauded both institutions for supporting national safety and fulfilling the President’s directive to strengthen welfare systems for officers who risk their lives daily.
Chief Fire Officer, Mrs. Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sapong, praised SIC Life for its continuous support and expressed confidence that the partnership will boost morale and improve wellbeing across the Service.
