OUR ENEMIES
The entire population of Africa keep rising with unprecedented multinational companies all over for market shares. We have a number of these companies producing goods and services for the well-being of our people. Most people have the perception that multinational companies offer the best of payment and so accord those working in such places with much respect. This notion cannot be held at this present time as our own people are so greedy to have everything for themselves. What we see are far from reality even as paper evidence are boldly written to that effect. You can go to any multinational company today and when you chance on one payment voucher of employee end of month salary, you would be surprise with the mouthwatering payment on paper which they never received. On paper, this is what your payment is but in reality there is an invisible hand taking what the innocent workers have diligently worked for. Till date, we have leaders of multinational companies conniving with local leaders, auditors,greedy,sycophant and uncompassionate employees on these unethical practices at workplaces.

A group of expatriates from mother multinational company came for job/performance assessment, familiarization, monitoring and evaluation in one multinational company (Vodafone) here in Ghana. On the very day of the exercise, the atmosphere was charged with threat and victimization from the local managers to employees. The local managers felt very uncomfortable throughout the exercise as they continue eyeing workers to show mercy and blatantly accept what has been documented as their salaries and conditions of service to their blind side.How can we continue to be inhumane, wicked, and selfish to the plight of the poor and marginalized innocent workers in society?Why should we think we are the only ones to receive what others have toiled for? These unethical and inhuman practices at workplaces must stop. Local managers must pay and provide what has been documented from parent office, colleague workers must eschew selfishness and embrace compassion to fellow colleagues and auditors must be professional in the discharge of their duties by exposing the rot without fear and favor.
