Was the interview Abu Trica granted to Captain Smart, the Gomoa West aspiring MP, a good decision?

Looking at some of the comments coming from different sources, many people believe it was a good move because Abu Trica was able to explain himself and give more details about his arrest on December 11, 2025, in connection with issues involving the Narcotics Control Commission Ghana, EOCO, and the FBI.

However, others are blaming Captain Smart, claiming he may have set Abu Trica up through the interview.

For now, we have to wait patiently until September 8, 2026, when the U.S. federal court is expected to determine whether Abu Trica will be found guilty or not guilty.

Let us keep our fingers crossed for Abu.

22-Year-Old Law Student Declares Intention to Contest Manhyia South Seat on The Base Party Ticket

A 22-year-old law student has officially declared her intention to contest as Member of Parliament for Manhyia South on the ticket of The Base Party.

According to her, she chose The Base Party because she believes its policies are not just ordinary promises or “knee-jerk” political statements, but realistic plans backed by action and commitment.

She stated that although governments come and go, the people of Manhyia South have seen little improvement over the years despite having different Members of Parliament. She added that when the Electoral Commission opens nominations for political parties to pick and file their forms, she will officially pick hers on the ticket of The Base Party.

She further explained that her main aim is to bring progressive development to Manhyia South and put smiles on the faces of the good people of Greater Kumasi.
