Valentine’s Day at work ❤️
Cards on desks. Jokes in the kitchen. Maybe even flowers at reception.
Harmless right? Not always.
With the new duty on employers to actively prevent sexual harassment, the legal risk around workplace relationships has shifted.
It is no longer enough to deal with issues once a complaint lands on HR’s desk. Employers are now expected to anticipate risk, set boundaries, and take reasonable steps before something goes wrong.

• “Work wife” and “work husband” dynamics
• Client and third-party behaviour
• Valentine’s Day gestures that cross a line for the person on the receiving end

Our latest blog from Andrew Macaulay-Ferguson explores workplace relationships, sexual harassment prevention, and the real legal risks employers need to think about right now: https://ow.ly/jbnv50Yf85M
