Hey Scratchers and parents! Want to build a fast-paced space shooter in Scratch? This fun three-part series is based on the classic arcade game Asteroids, but with a twist—Lemons! 🍋 In Part 1, we’ll code player movement and laser firing to set the stage for the exciting parts to come!

In future episodes, we’ll tackle enemy lemons, collisions, splitting lemons, and some awesome explosion flashes and screen shake! 💥

Wondering why Lemons? Well, they’ve achieved interstellar capability and are trying to take over the universe. We need those lasers to fight back! 🔫
