Leaving ex-band drama aside, I’ve had to practice gaining confidence to create a set that represents me. I finally feel ready to emerge as Carola aka Ruby Dawn, with hopes that I can move on with my name and songs. I am scared and overwhelmed but also super curious to see how it will go. I’m coming with friends and playing along side supportive people. It’s a late afternoon gig. The high cool ceilings will hopefully create a lovely atmospheric vocal and orchestrated blend of sounds moods voices and emotions. I’m aiming for a 10/10, never achieved live. Headlining are AlphaLine, an awesome super chilled band who I’m trying to entice to join me on stage for my last number. Very suitable for our current times Man Where’s your Heart. Three AlphaLine members have played that song with me at some stage this last decade ! In the mean time I’m sharing Juliet this is close to how I might sound on Sunday but hopefully better with friends around . Please come along if you can . I think it will be a pretty cool event .
I started writing songs for the next album I wanted to release shortly after Blood on Water came out. Some extremely traumatic news hit my family and I needed an outlet. I have continued to write create nurture record and reach out to others for help. I found help with two very lovely people Caroline Bonnett Co-production, mix and mastering at SCNmedia studios. Who added Additional keyboards, rhythmic and bass instrumentation and
Nick Fletcher Electric guitars, who added exceedingly tasteful guitar. With great thanks this is the second release from my upcoming new album called Connect. It will soon be available on Bandcamp just getting things ready.
