Birchfield String Orchestra

We are an amateur community orchestra, in Sutton Coldfield, who play for fun on Tuesday evenings. We’d love you to join us!

At BSO, we welcome enquiries from anyone who either currently plays or once played (no matter how long ago) violin, viola, cello or bass. We are a local, amateur, friendly membership, who play for fun - so, like me, if you haven’t picked up your instrument in many moons, and are missing playing or regret leaving your instrument to gather dust - then we may be for you and we would love to hear from you. All are welcome and our cello section particularly needs extra numbers. If you’ve been thinking about picking up your old hobby but feel nervous or unsure - that’s exactly where I was a couple of years ago - I was welcomed in and after a few rusty months it all came flooding back.
