After 13 years of speakers and events the parties over!!!

We just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped us or came along for the journey. Allowing us to be part of their events , let us use their space , helped move speakers , drove vans , was a supportive wag , played tunes , listened to our rubbish chat or invited us to the afters.

Thanks again to everyone and if you need any help with speakers don't msg us 🤣 I'm sure we'll see you on a random dancefloor somewhere soon.

No1. Shapes presents Slam @ Fubar 2016

As soon as we started to think through the top 10 events last year while everyone was lockdown the first event I put on the list was Slam @ Fubar from 2016.

It sold out in the run up, it was the first big night we'd done with our Void soundsystem and from start to Finnish it was another level of full on.

I remember someone telling me they are gonna let everyone in downstairs till it fills up then open upstairs. So I walked downstairs to be told it's too busy so they are opening almost strait away

With the year before of smaller nights by everyone in Stirlings little scene they had all built up to Stirling biggest night in a long time. Everyone was so excited for this huge booking in the biggest space in Stirling. 1000+ people was unthinkable when we started.

And after that night it paved the way for all kinds of huge bookings , other promoters trying the idea as it was so successful and it just worked putting the soundsystem on the stage with bigger bookings instead of hiding them in a corner.

Shapes made us all realise Stirling has the potential to do big nights with a big enough space and all you need was to turn the system up loud enough with enough bass for a sell out fubar crowd to make them imagine they could be anywhere dancing to these world-class djs !!!!!
