Good Things Foundation
We help people to overcome social challenges, building a digitally included society and supporting people to grow their essential skills. We collaborate with 5,000 community partners - the Online Centres Network - and others, to help the people and communities with the greatest need.
The digital world moves fast, but for millions of individuals with learning disabilites, standard technology creates invisible barriers.
Meet Neil - known to everyone as Pugwash. He is a brilliant artist, but because he has dyslexia and processes the world visually, standard smartphones, QWERTY keyboards, and text-heavy instructions are a constant source of frustration.
Pugwash’s story highlights a critical reality: digital inclusion is not one-size-fits-all.
This Disability Pride Month, we are celebrating how community spaces like the Redruth Civic Centre hub act as a bridge. They adapt to people's creative strengths rather than forcing them to conform to rigid digital systems. By focusing on visual learning and human support, we can turn the internet into a tool for creativity and connection, not exclusion.
We met Pugwash as part of successful pilots with Cornwall, Barnsley, and Middlesbrough Councils. Now, you can discover our evidence-based roadmap designed to help give local authorities the tools they need to bake in, not bolt on digital inclusion to their approach.
