We are seeking an experienced Senior / Associate Structural Engineer to join a growing team in Leicester. This is an exciting opportunity for either an established Associate or an ambitious Senior Structural Engineer looking to step into a leadership position.

This is a true engineering design role - ideal for someone who enjoys remaining technically involved rather than moving into a heavily management-led position. The successful candidate will play a key role in project delivery, technical leadership and team development.

Projects span multiple sectors and values, with schemes typically reaching £45m+ .

Senior / Associate Structural Engineer Role:

As a Senior / Associate Structural Engineer , you will provide technical leadership across multiple projects, support and develop engineering teams and maintain close relationships with clients and stakeholders. You will remain actively involved in engineering design and structural analysis while helping drive quality and project delivery.

Senior / Associate Structural Engineer Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage structural engineering projects from concept through to completion
* Remain actively involved in technical calculations, engineering design and project delivery
* Demonstrate strong structural design and analysis experience across all common structural materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry
* Mentor, support and develop engineers and technical staff
* Build and maintain strong client relationships
* Manage project programmes, resources and technical standards
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
* Ensure quality, compliance and engineering excellence across projects

What They Are Looking For:

Essential:

* Significant Structural Engineering consultancy experience
* Chartered Engineer status (MIStructE/MICE) or close to achieving this
* Strong technical design capability and desire to remain hands-on
* Proven structural design and analysis experience across steel, concrete, timber and masonry
* Previous experience leading projects and supporting teams
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel where required
* Excellent client-facing and communication skills
* Demonstrable career stability and longevity within previous positions

Desirable:

* Previous experience in a Senior, Principal or Associate-level role
* Experience across residential, commercial, healthcare, education or industrial projects
* Experience contributing to team growth or business development activities

Location: Reading town centre - RG1

Salary: £32,000 Pro Rata
Hours: Part-Time, circa 20 hours per week, worked across 4 or 5 days (Monday to Friday)

About the Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive HR Administrator to support the People & Culture team across a number of local businesses. This is a varied administrative role focused on maintaining accurate HR records, supporting employee lifecycle processes, coordinating onboarding activities, and providing day-to-day HR support to managers and employees.

This position would suit someone with previous HR Administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

* Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
* Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and other HR documentation.
* Support onboarding activities, ensuring all new starter paperwork is completed and processed.
* Coordinate induction schedules and training administration.
* Monitor probation review dates and assist managers with administration relating to probation periods.
* Manage employee files, ensuring compliance with GDPR and company policies.
* Support absence management administration, including recording sickness and holiday information.
* Assist with HR reporting, data collection, and maintaining personnel records.
* Provide administrative support for HR projects and initiatives.
* Respond to employee queries and provide general HR administrative support.
* Coordinate interview scheduling and support recruitment administration when required.
* Liaise with external recruitment agencies regarding vacancies and candidate information.
* Support the People & Culture team with policy updates, communications, and employee engagement activities.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

* Previous experience within an HR Administration, People Administration, or HR Assistant role.
* Strong administrative and organisational skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Desirable:

* CIPD Level 3 qualification or working towards.
* Experience using HR systems or databases.
* Previous experience within logistics, transport, or a multi-site business environment.
