Imagine a world where Morecambe Bay is lined with bundles of discarded clothing and textiles.. would you continue to do nothing? This is the reality in many other parts of the world.
I sketched out a few floral illustrations last night and today, chose one of them to embroider onto this salvaged jumper. I love the contrast!

Recycling is a myth. Most textiles make their way to other countries, often washing up on foreign shores or incinerated due to overcrowding landfill. Something needs to change fast.
Headed for landfill just a few days ago..this old threadbare jumper has been washed, cared for and embellished ready for a new life.. this is slow fashion, the way it’s meant to be.
Experiment, play, fail, experiment some more, but know that this is an inevitable and important journey to success..
