A pleasure to host and introduce 3 amazing acts to a wonderful audience.

Yes, we almost set an amp on fire; yes, we had a lovely grown up discussion on why the planet doesn't matter anymore and why it's ok to alphabetise your sexual deviance preferences; but the Chilli Nachos worked in calming our jangled nerves.

After the fantastic success of our first Stand Up Comedy night at The Pit in Newstead, we’re back for more this coming Thursday: 6th December - doors at 7pm, show at 8pm.

Once again, established pro comics will bringing their A-game to this unique and intimate venue.

We're Back!

On Thursday 4th December we return to The Pit at Newstead with a genuinely astonishing line up.

Danny is circuit legend, Kevin is fast becoming one, and Debbie is a first rate up and coming act.

What a night!
Our first Fundraiser comedy night after the venue change was at Long Eaton Rugby Club, and it was a belter — raising funds for the local Air Cadets Squadron and bringing all the lols, all of them...

Huge thanks to the brilliant Tom Little, Lovdev Barpaga, and Stephen Carlin for storming the stage, and to our unforgettable audience:
• Husbands abandoning their ill wives at home just to attend.
• The UK’s top DJ and vibe curator (although he mostly gigs in Beeston, (The Berliner, tonight, if you’ve a liking for Wham…))
• And the lovely Eharmony couple, who celebrated date night by not talking to each other…

We’ll be back in the spring… keep your eyes peeled. 👀

Last night we travelled to The Pit to entertain the lovely people of Newstead; we also entertained the irritating ones.

The Pit is a fantastic, independently owned and ran, Micropub in Newstead.
Emma got in touch a few months ago saying she wanted a regular comedy night, having been focussed primarily on music since taking the pub over.

Her enthusiasm for promoting live music, and giving a platform for newer and unsigned bands was inspiring and a perfect fit for our own grassroots approach to comedy.

The venue is perfectly set up for performance already and the attention to detail on sound / lighting / ambience her and her family apply is such a refreshing atmosphere to be part of

Alex Mitchell, Kate Robb and Jon Pearson were our acts who all smashed it, the audience had a blast and all feedback was overwhelmingly that we should do it again, so we're going to do just that!

Back on 4th December for more fun and games, accompanied by beer, nachos and laughter, and - for those that clearly need it - I'm going to have some meds in my pocket to administer to the more lively members of the audience.....
