However, all three of us enjoyed it so much that we had soon created more jewellery than we could possibly hope to wear ourselves or give to friends and, in April 2014, we had our first stall and created Timeless Curiosity. I am still enjoying playing with recycled cogs and gears, vintage sheet music, glitter, charms and resin to create Timeless Curiosity jewellery, although the girls have now moved on to pursue their own lives and careers. I find the intricate nature of the watch cogs and gears both beautiful and fascinating and enjoy combining them with colour or vintage sheet music to create layers of interest within individual pieces. I like to showcase these ‘retired’ workings in a way that indicates their previous functional lives whilst they are set in a permanent, unmoving, timeless, casing of clear doming Ice Resin. Whilst inspired by Steampunk (a sub-genre which can, superficially, be described as Victorian science fiction), I hope Timeless Curiosity jewellery can be enjoyed by anybody who appreciates the attraction and intricacies of these tiny timepiece mechanisms.
