** HEMLINGTON LAKE - WARNING **

Tests are being carried out by the Environment Agency on the water at Hemlington Lake after reports of potential blue/green algae.

While the results have not yet been confirmed, we are advising residents to stay out of the water as a precautionary measure.

Those with pets should keep them well clear of the lake.

If high levels of blue/green algae are confirmed, the water could potentially be toxic to humans and dogs, especially if it's ingested.

We will provide an update once further information is available.
