What if the materials we discard held the key to more sustainable design systems?

This year we kicked off our first Fireside Chat – a series exploring the ideas, processes and perspectives of creative voices shaping our industry – with researcher and designer .

Sanne’s work reimagines overlooked materials such as human hair, transforming them into yarns, ropes and textiles used across objects, garments and installations, showing how waste can become a resource.

Together, we explored how circular design can reshape how we see value and waste, and how small, intentional shifts can lead to wider systemic change.
