I am a certified NLP practitioner and hypnotherapist. (Loop Busting does not use hypnotherapy) I have a BA (Hons) in Philosophy and Cognitive and Computing Science. I am the founder of the Conscious Explorers Group and the Loop Busting process. Loop Busting Therapy was conceived after conquering a 17 year battle with extreme bi-polar depression. LBT is a accumulation and refinement of the most effective therapies and techniques that lead to my full recovery. I have been studying personal development, mental disorders including bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, anxiety disorders, narcissism, eating disorders, drug addiction, obsessive compulsive disorder to name a few. I have researched many kinds of therapy including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Analytical Therapy, psychotherapy, psychiatry and read a vast array of literature on psychology, neuroscience, brain training, lucid dreaming and meditation over the last 20 years. I can speak from personal experience of both my own and my clients that this is the fastest, most effective technique that I know to solving emotional problems. Why do we create loops? We start creating loops early on in life. Their main function is to protect us from what our subconscious mind sees as a ‘dangerous truth’. This is usually a truth that we just can’t handle often due to its frightening implications. Similarly loops are created when we can’t fully understand a situation and we construct a flawed logic in attempt to make sense of things. This process is a survival mechanism and is useful when we are young, vulnerable and dependent on others to keep us alive. However when we grow older this no longer serves us. As we gain knowledge of the world and how it works, many of the monsters that seemed very real to us disappear, the loops often do not. Eventually these loops start to build on top of each other until we produce ‘a scaffolding of misconceptions’ based on ill-founded presumptions. Without conscious awareness we can keep going round and round in loops for our whole lives. It is imperative that you bust through any loops you have as quickly as possible so that you can reconnect with your authentic self and therefore truly live the life you were born to live. How does it work? My job as a Loop Buster is to help you bust through your thought loops that are keeping you away from the real underlying problems. By finding inconsistencies in your logic, and asking you the right questions at the right time, the loop is busted and the real issue is unmasked. I may use tools such as loop mapping to show you exactly how the loop has been working so you can clearly see your own cycles and habits. Beyond the loop we will get to the facts where clear decisions can be made. You will no longer be blocked behind the barriers you once had and you will therefore be reunited with a direct channel to your sincere emotion. The reality is that no decision can be made without a connection to emotion. Mental analysis will always produce pros and cons and the final door to a decision is always ultimately emotional. When you can hear what your heart is telling you, you will know exactly what you should do. What is Loop Busting based on? Loop Busting draws from Cognitive Analytical Therapy, NLP art and music therapy, Psychotherapy and new techniques exclusive to LBT. Who is suitable for Loop Busting Therapy? LBT is suitable for anyone who has a burning desire to transform any problem, addiction or behavioural pattern. You need to have a good enough command of the English language to articulate your problem and be able to answer questions as honestly as you can. Anyone who is old enough to do this is suitable for this therapy. Why a burning desire? A person who is stuck in a loop is in a kind of trance that they also put the listener into. You may have experienced this when someone tells you their problems and you find yourself drifting off almost as if you are hypnotized by the endless cycle of their loop. I will use various techniques to interrupt these trances. At times this may come across as rude but it’s just part of the process. If I do this, it is only to break a loop in its track, nothing more. Rest assured that this method doesn’t use aggressive techniques to “break you down”. On the contrary, loop busting is a process that guides and encourages you to come forward consciously with your personal truths. Being Loop Busted can sometimes feel distressing as we draw closer to the truth. Over the years, these scaffoldings of misconceptions become not only habitual but also part of your personality. You may experience “fight or flight sensations” and want to run away. It may take all your will to stay there as the blocks start breaking down. Your mind may look for distractions and you may start to get annoyed as your defenses fight back. You will need to remember that you have chosen to go through this process because you want to get to the truth as quickly as possible and that these techniques will get you there fast. Finding out what lies beyond the lies can be frightening but it is well worth it. True happiness and fulfillment can only be experienced by the authentic self. How do you know when a loop has been busted? The easiest way to tell that a loop is being busted is that the person feels a sense of confusion as their usual logic doesn’t add up and their brains reconfigure themselves with this new knowledge. They often start crying and laughing at the same time. This is partly because of the realization that they have been living by an illogical logic! It can be very upsetting to feel that you have been stuck in a false rut for so many years, it is almost as if one mourns the time that has been wasted and the pain you have been through acting out the conclusions of the loop. But the tears are also of joy as people find themselves laughing with a sense of euphoria as the barriers are lifted and they once again feel their authentic self. Seeing the ridiculousness of one’s previously twisted logic can be very funny. There is also a huge sense of relief that comes with real easing these negative patterns. This laughing and crying at the same time is one sure sign of a breakthrough. What to expect after Loop Busting? It is certain that the life around you reflects the in-authenticities within you. When you remove these blocks things will change. In terms of relationships the chances are that the people closest to you live with many of the same loops as you did. Many of these people will therefore no longer reflect where you are at now. Because you have changed you are no longer reflecting their own lies and misconceptions back at them and they will probably feel uncomfortable around you. One of two things happens with these relationships; they are either ready to change too and they will become inspired by you, your friendship will grow and develop, or they are not ready to change and it is difficult for them to be around you. These friendships will naturally fall away and people who are on your level will be attracted towards you. It will be similar in other areas of your life. The more loops you bust the more you will find a natural inclination to make changes. For example you may feel the job you are in no longer suits you. Being Loop busted will spur on some big changes in your life. What can I guarantee? I can guarantee that if you come with an honest willingness to solve your problem you will make good progress. 1 session lasts 1 hour but it is possible to have 2 in a row if you feel up to it. How quickly one problem can be solved will depend on you, the nature of the problem and how willing you are to solve it. With a motivated enough client and a simple problem, we can get to the bottom of things as quickly 3 sessions. Deeper and more intricate problems may take longer.
