Mbappe is bringing a lot to the team' - Ancelotti hails hat-trick hero

Mbappe scored his first hat-trick for Real Madrid in a 3-0 away victory against bottom-placed Real Valladolid.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti was elated after Kylian Mbappe scored his first Real Madrid hat-trick in their 3-0 away victory against bottom-placed Real Valladolid on Saturday.

The win extends Real Madrid's lead at the top of La Liga to four points.

What Ancelotti said

Ancelotti expressed his delight at the French striker's impressive form, notching eight goals in the last five games across all competitions.

"Mbappé is bringing a lot to the team. He's been getting into a rhythm for a couple of months and today, for the first time, he scored a hat-trick for us. Obviously that's a plus for our team, he's a player of great quality," Ancelotti told a press conference.

Ancelotti also highlighted the team's overall improvement in recent weeks.

"Little by little we've got into a good rhythm, we've got into a good dynamic and that's great to see," he said.

He added, "As I have been saying, we are improving in the aspects that undermined us in previous games. And we must continue as we try to improve and correct some of the problems we still have."

Kylian Mbappe continues to grow in strength in LALIGA clinching his first hat trick to move one behind Lewandowski in the Pichichi race.

Real Madrid currently lead the La Liga table with 49 points. Atlético Madrid trail in second place after a 1-1 draw against Villarreal, further widening the gap.

Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao are level on 39 points, but both have a game in hand, adding intrigue to the title race. Villarreal follows closely behind.
