Hi Everyone - this blog is more for the SAS, Stats and Data Scientists out there, with a passion for clinical trials or technology.

Happy New Year! I’m just gathering my thoughts on last year and looking forwards to 2018 and the future.

With the New Year, we’ve got plenty of new roles in SAS and Statistics for Pharma, CRO, Academic and Device companies.

We have roles available on contract and permanent basis although we are noticing a trend that most companies are hiring more permanent SAS and Statisticians for their clinical research (or maybe they are just coming to us for their permanent hiring more). These are a few examples on our website.

We are also getting more work in for late phase and epidemiology roles. Being able to analyse real world data is key. This can be a different world to the rigid and regulated world of ICH GCP and clinical trials.

We are wondering what the impact of Brexit will be. Also, how our work processes will need to change around new regulations for example data security, privacy around GDPR. We have and continue to work with the ICO on this.

We have some upcoming events on AI and innovation in Healthcare. If anyone can explain how we can best test healthcare tech so it is implemented safely, we’d love to hear from you.

We are working on a presentation for various conferences to understand what are the most important career factors for SAS and Statistics roles. We know it’s not just money. Flexible working? Managing Teams? Not managing teams but just being a technical expert? We’d love to hear your thoughts.
