Winner of the 2023 Herbie Hancock International Jazz Institute Piano Competition, and Chicagoan of the Year in Jazz, young pianist Jahari Stampley brings his Trio to UK for the very first time this autumn. 7th November !

Having watched the trio live a few months back I can tell you, Jahari’s talent and the band’s chemistry between Jahari, his multi-instrumentalist Mum and drummer just has to be experienced first hand. Grab tickets while you can.

. What a selection, tucked in the corner of Gathering Space in Seattle and unassuming from the distance. Had to slim down from the original pile but each record is a gem. Can’t wait to listen at home!

Month after dispatch, and a hefty custom charge my Christmas parcel from Poland is here. Thank you Mum! Aside from the best plums in chocolate, two records from artists you might have caught at one of B Side’s shows previously

1. Marcin Masecki - Boleros Y Mas

Marcin’s latest, delicious personal homage to the musical culture of South America. Released by With and

2. Mitch & Mitch with Kassin - Visitantes Nordestinos

2017 brilliant release via legends , recorded in Rio. Not so easy to find!

Very highly recommended! And again thanks to for inspiration to haunt that Kassin collab down.
