To make a profit you need to know every last penny that you spend. Ideally as many as possible need to be identified before setting your price structure. However, costs should NOT dictate your pricing. Once you have a view of costs and your ideal prices you can start to make decisions about a sensible balance between the two. You might be able to increase your selling price in some areas but need to make savings in others. Make sure you do the sums and are comfortable before jumping in.
