Do your employees get tips? If they do, you'll need to know about the Employment (Allocation of Tips) Act 2023, which will come into force on 1 October. This act makes it illegal to withhold tips from your workers.

Tips must be allocated in a fair and transparent manner and be passed on without deductions - it's hoped that this new legislation will result in workers taking home around £200m more in earnings!
