💤 Transition to a big bed. 💤

The Christmas period is often a time when parents consider moving their toddlers into a big bed. Parents often have some time off over the period, to support that move and the upheaval it can create and a “big bed” can make a great Christmas gift. 🎁

DECEMBER: Traditionally, the busiest month of the year!

As parents, we struggle with the juggle of all the shopping and planning and parties and performances… and our children are both hyped up about Christmas and exhausted at the end of a long term. It’s a difficult combination and sleep can be in short supply at this time of year.

When we’re out of routine, we can become overstimulated, which can lead to mental and physical exhaustion. My 6 year old struggles emotionally at this time of year and the physical sensation of a hug is often the only thing that will calm and soothe her.
