Chances are, hiring managers are checking you out on social media. ๐ณ
If you wouldnโt swear on your CV, you probably shouldnโt on your social media profile!
Around 45% of hiring managers use social media to learn more about potential candidates.
Fortunately, you donโt have to remove your personality โ you just need to use a little common sense.
Here are our five quick tips to keep your public social media accounts looking professional:

Many of us have posted a photo, status or comment that we later regret. If this is the case, delete it before it sends the wrong impression.

For your profile photo, use a good-quality picture of you looking professional. Best avoid anything taken at a social event!

Wherever you are in your career search, if you're applying for jobs but not hearing back, it might not be your CV but your network.
For many roles, opportunities donโt just come from applications, but from being visible โ in other words, networking.
It's about putting yourself in the right spaces, meeting the right people and being open to opportunities.
It doesnโt have to be a formal 'networking event'. Instead, it could be a workshop, a webinar, a careers event or even a simple conversation on LinkedIn. Put yourself in places that will get you seen.
Have you tried networking as part of your job search? ๐

๐ก Our new research has shown a clear disconnect between the positivity people feel about AI and how confident they are actually using it in their day-to-day roles.
Across a survey of 2,000 UK employees, 64% say they feel positive about AI. Yet only 25% say they fully understand how to use it effectively in their role.
This matters, because willingness on its own doesnโt lead to action.
If someone isnโt confident, they hesitate and may use AI in limited ways, second-guess their outputs, or avoid it altogether.
