As a teenager I started writing songs. I didn’t know why at the time, I just knew I needed to. ‘Waiting on the World to Change’ by John Mayer was one of the songs that inspired me to start. Years later, I’m proud to say I haven’t stopped, I’ve made a career of it, and don’t ‘wait’ for the world to change in order to do so.
At we launched the Transpose songwriting camp to equalise opportunities for trans creatives - each song written on Transpose helps to transform the music industry and any person who engages with the art which has been made.
Songwriting saved my life, and I still believe songs can change the world. They’ve certainly changed mine.
To be named a change maker by and - a personal hero of mine - is an honour indeed. It might be my name printed but just like writing songs, it’s all about collaboration. A massive thank you to and everyone who contributed to and the Transpose songwriting camp. Here’s to many more and happy TDOV 🏳️⚧️✍️🥳
