Complete Aligner Programme

A really difficult case that was fully completed this week, which we feel is a fantastic example of the scope of clear aligners in orthodontics.

We corrected both anterior and posterior crossbites using the CAP expansion protocol, carefully staged movements, and selective IPR to ensure predictable, safe alignment while minimising black triangles.

Once alignment was complete, we carried out whitening and our restorative colleague Dr Jason masked the large black triangle between the upper centrals with bonding. Between the bonding appt and bonded retainer appt, some small relapse of the centrals was noted but the patient declined going back into Invisalign, but was absolutely over the moon with the final result.

This case really shows the scope of clear aligner therapy, using the right protocols, complex tooth movements can be achieved in a safe, minimally invasive way, giving patients life-changing results.
