Happy Birthday Courtney!
Courtney Love, lead singer of alt-rockers Hole, turns 62 today.
Iconic Images photographer Kevin Cummins photographed Love on several occasions during the 1990s – a turbulent decade for the artist, which saw Hole garner acclaim for their album Pretty on the Inside in 1991, and the death of her husband, Kurt Cobain, in 1994.
Cummins’ noirish shots of Love were taken at London’s Milestone Hotel in 1994, and in Zurich in 1995.

Marilyn Monroe: Immortal Unveil and Sale
Last night, Iconic Images Gallery Piccadilly hosted a red carpet auction for Marilyn Monroe: Immortal, a remarkable one-of-one portrait by British artist San B, created in celebration of Monroe’s centenary.
Meticulously crafted from more than 150,000 hand-placed Swarovski® crystals over 1,000 hours, the museum-grade artwork sold for £350,000.
Guests enjoyed an evening of exceptional hospitality from Piper-Heidsieck, creators of the official Marilyn Monroe 100 champagne, whisky from Indri Single Malt and wines from Penfolds, while celebrating one of the most iconic cultural figures of the last century. The night’s spectacular live music act, jazz drummer and singer Kitty LaRoar, played songs made famous by Monroe’s films.
Most importantly, a portion of the auction proceeds will support Caudwell Children and Caudwell Youth, helping disabled, neurodivergent and at-risk young people access life-changing opportunities.
We’d like to thank all our attendees, generous bidders, outstanding hospitality partners and everyone who made this such a wonderful night for art, philanthropy and Marilyn Monroe’s immortal legacy.

Happy Birthday Debbie Harry!
Born Angela Trimble in Miami, Florida in 1945, Harry was adopted as an infant and raised in Hawthorne, New Jersey. After working various jobs – including as a Pl***oy Bunny and a secretary – she began her music career in the late 1960s with the folk group The Wind in the Willows.
In 1974, she co-founded Blondie with guitarist Chris Stein in New York City, pioneering the new wave and punk scenes and achieving multiple No. 1s on the US charts. A legend of modern American music, Harry’s distinctive voice, style, and stage presence have made her a pop culture icon who remains a major influence on generations of female artists.

Darkroom to Lightroom
and worked closely together to shape the visual storytelling of David Bowie: You’re Not Alone by bringing Terry O’Neill’s extraordinary photographs into the immersive experience.
Projects like this are a reminder that an archive is far more than a collection of photographs. Every image must be meticulously preserved, catalogued and researched so that, when the right opportunity comes along, it can help tell a story in entirely new ways. Looking back through Terry O’Neill’s archive to build a curation from his many celebrated photographs of Bowie was one of the most rewarding parts of the process.
Working together, Lightroom and Iconic Images licensed and curated a significant selection of Terry O’Neill’s photographs, spanning six extraordinary decades of Bowie’s career. Seeing these photographs woven together with iconic performances, rare interviews and unseen footage from the David Bowie Archive has been one of the most rewarding collaborations of 2026.
The result is a powerful reminder of how great photography continues to shape the way we remember artists, long after the shutter has clicked.
David Bowie: You’re Not Alone is now open at Lightroom, Coal Drops Yard, London, until January 2027.
