Do these basics well…
What you do in the gym is the cherry on top of your health and fitness 🍒
Here are 5 things you can dial in that don’t cost a penny that will have a huge impact on your health.
1️⃣ - Get outside. Walk in nature and get the sun on your skin
2️⃣ - Hydrate. 2-3L water per day, replenish electrolytes for those that are training hard and losing lots of sweat
3️⃣ - Mindfulness. For me this is my daily meditation practice but can be as simple as journaling, noting how you feel.
4️⃣ - Being present in relationships. Pick up the phone and digest what you’re loved ones are saying. Listening is a skill.
5️⃣ Eat whole foods often. A banana doesn’t have an ingredients list, this is a whole food.
BONUS - being consistently good at the above is going to get you a lot further than being occasionally great.
Over the years I’ve always said the 23 hours outside the gym are where it matters. This is a huge chunk of time where you can dial things in 🎯
