Detrumpification: President Trump’s name was removed from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts yesterday, after an appeals court had earlier denied the president’s application for an emergency stay of order. Washington National Opera has filed a lawsuit against the Kennedy Center to recover assets—endowment funds plus other donations and income collected on its behalf—totalling more than $17m that it says were blocked when the company and venue separated earlier this year.
