Blood! and Lupus. Lupus reduces blood cells. Blood has three types of cells. Red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. When red blood cells is reduced it is called anemia. When white blood cells reduces it is called leucopenia and when platelet reduces it is called thrombocytopenia. So, lupus causes anemia, leucopenia and thrombocytopenia.
