Thank you and the judges for this wonderful acknowledgment of what we are trying to do!

29 words for 29 letters is a typographic moving index of the process of working with two languages and bridging two wildly different worlds. For each letter of the Arabic alphabet, I chose one word from my daily life in London, mostly concepts, thoughts and ways of being that I often find myself explaining and translating. The result is a visual cascade of moving forms, letters and shapes illustrating the fluidity of meaning through design. See the full project on samarmaakaroun.co.uk.

We worked with the lovely in-house team at SumUp for over 6 months on , , and design of their new -brand, SumUp Pay. The new identity stayed close in name to its mother brand Sumup but carried a new younger energy, led by the holographic textures of bank notes, and a bolder typographic approach.

A is made by the overlapping of 2 wavefronts to create an interference that interacts with light...generating variable colours and reflections.
