Why leave London. Why not somewhere easier, prettier, closer.

I never have a clean answer.
I just know I chose this.

13,000 feet above sea level, sitting alone,
watching a volcano breathe like it’s been here forever.
No crowds. No comfort. No shortcuts.

Some places don’t make sense on paper.
They make sense in your chest.

This isn’t about ticking countries or chasing views.
It’s about standing somewhere that strips you back,
that humbles you, that reminds you you’re alive.

So yes, I choose the long way.
Every single time.
