Devastated by the tragic crash of the Air India flight in Ahmedabad, which was bound for London.

My deepest condolences go out to the families who have lost loved ones in this unimaginable tragedy, and to the wider Indian community in Ilford and across the country who are mourning today.

A dedicated crisis centre has been set up at Gatwick Airport to support affected families of the passengers aboard. The Indian High Commission is urgently processing emergency visas for bereaved relatives, and Air India is arranging a special relief flight to assist those impacted.
