This changed how I play live…
Over time I realized live guitar isn’t about perfection — it’s about intention. You can hit every note right, but if there’s no emotion behind it, nobody remembers. That night at Rough Trade, I stopped thinking technically and just played the songs like stories. And when you do that, the guitar parts breathe more. They become alive. That’s when audiences really connect.
We’re doing this again soon…
Because the vinyl sold out and the night meant so much, we’re already planning another special release event. Something intimate, memorable — more than just a concert. Those are the nights that stay with people, and that’s what we want to create more of moving forward.
I was more nervous than usual…
Even after years of performing, some shows still hit your nerves. This was one of them because it mattered more emotionally. But once the first song started, that nervous energy turned into adrenaline. By the end, we didn’t want to walk off stage.
This is what people remember most…
One thing people kept coming up to us about after the show was the guitar hooks. And that means everything to me, because hooks are the emotional fingerprint of a song. Anyone can play chords… but a melody that sticks in your head? That’s magic. We’ve always believed guitar should sing — almost like another vocalist in the band. And hearing people hum those parts back to us after the set… that’s one of the best feelings you can have as a songwriter.
