Hello from Forward Carers! đź‘‹
We’re really pleased to say that Forward Carers is now looking after Max Card and we’re excited to be part of its next chapter.
Max Card will still be here for the families who know and love it, and we’re looking forward to supporting the scheme going forward.
For now, it’s very much business as usual — and we’re here to help make sure things continue smoothly.
If you have any questions or need any support, please send them over to:
📧 [email protected] and as always you can find everything on the Max Card website: https://mymaxcard.co.uk/
We’re looking forward to getting to know you all and being part of the Max Card community 💙
BARNSLEY AREA!!!
We have had a parent group contact us who are thinking of becoming a distributor. They would like to get an idea of the numbers that would be interested in obtaining a card from them.
If this is of interest to you, please just hit the like button. We don't want anyone getting lost in the comments and this is purely to help the organisation get an idea of numbers.
Good Morning! We would love to gain coverage and be available to more families across the UK and we understand the frustration of those who are not able to access the cards in their area. If you are someone who is unable to access Max Card due to lack of distribution in your area please comment below so we can look into options to change this. Thank you!
PLEASE NOTE: This post is for areas not currently covered only.

Here at Max Card, we are aiming to give the spotlight to venues that are committed to inclusion for Max Card users and the local community.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting one of our venue partners, The Hyde Park Picture House, to find out more about their venue and discover the amazing experiences awaiting Max Card holders and families. Hyde Park Picture House is a grade II listed building which has recently reopened following a major development project. Steeped in history, Hyde Park Picture House proudly preserves remnants of its illustrious past, setting itself apart as the only gas-lit cinema in the world. Come and discover a fascinating building where old meets new, with two impressive screens and a big commitment to accessibility and inclusion.
From the moment you arrive, you’ll find step-free access to the building and throughout (except the balcony), ensuring ease of entry for all visitors. Positioned conveniently to the left of the lowered section of the box office counter in the foyer, a wheelchair-accessible toilet provides comfort and convenience for those in need. Additionally, there are multiple wheelchair spaces in both screens, positioned strategically for optimal viewing and ease. Experience their relaxed screenings, designed to create a cosy and inclusive environment for individuals on the autism spectrum - however, everyone is invited to attend! Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with an accommodating approach to audience noise, more light, lower film volume, no trailers or advertisements, and reduced screen capacity. Relaxed screenings can be found here: https://hpph.co.uk/whats-on?type=schedule&accessibility=relaxed.
More details on access at HPPH are found on the website here: https://hpph.co.uk/access
As part of their commitment to inclusivity, Hyde Park Picture House provide “Hyde and Seek” screenings every Saturday, which offers a “Pay what you can” policy for family-friendly movie sessions. In addition to this, the cinema offers concessionary ticket prices to Max Card holders of £6 per person for up to 2 adults and 2 children. Just present your Max Card on arrival.
Upcoming screenings include heartwarming classics such as 'The Muppet Christmas Carol' and 'Elf,' perfect for kindling the festive spirit! And for young adventurers in the new year, don't miss out on 'PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie’.
Whether you're a film buff looking for cinematic gems or seeking a relaxed and enjoyable family outing, Hyde Park Picture House has you covered! Located in the centre of Hyde Park, Leeds, a 10-minute drive from the city centre.
