This lovely and rare Arel A6 radio arrived from Belgium where it lives in a 1948 Citroen Traction Avant, otherwise known as a “Big Six”. It was sent to us to be upgraded with an AM/FM 4 x 45W RMS Stereo radio, Bluetooth to give fully legal hands-free telephony, audio streaming and voice control, a USB port for device charging and digital playback and a DAB/DAB+ receiver. The old integral speaker was replaced with a high quality Audison PRIMA APX5 unit which produces superb quality audio and will do justice to the greatly enhanced output of new radio. This radio required such an extensive rebuild that the only original parts remaining were the case, the k***s and the dial. However, you would never know to look at it as externally it remains totally original.
