SUMMER READING CHALLENGE 2026 STARTS TODAY!
Children, aged 4-11 years, can call in any time from today to sign up for this year's Summer Reading Challenge - Read to the Beat.
Signing up to the challenge is FREE, and all they need is a library card (they can sign up for that at the same time if needed!)
The library opening hours are:
Monday: 9am - 7pm
Tuesday: 9am - 7pm
Wednesday: 9am - 7pm
Thursday: 9am - 7pm
Friday: 9am - 5pm
Saturday: 9am - 4pm
Sunday: Closed

🌟 A HUGE thank you to our incredible volunteers! 🌟
A small team came in today to set up our giant Summer Book Sale. We truly could not run our service without the support of our amazing team of over 60 volunteers. It is an absolute pleasure to work with every single one of you! ❤️📚
What’s on offer?
We have a fantastic selection of books including: Adult Fiction & Non-Fiction, Crime & Thrillers, Science Fiction, Children’s Books and so much more.
We operate on a "Pay As You Feel" basis to keep reading accessible for everyone. We just ask for a small minimum donation:
50p per Fiction or Children's book
£1 per Adult Non-Fiction book
