Merpola is a UK based illustration and creative project by Toby (that’s me, hello), making thingamabobs to delight landlocked merfolk. The aim is to celebrate the seas, raise awareness and occasionally contribute donations towards vital marine conservation work. Merpola was founded back in 2015, and has been supported by the Prince’s Trust.

Yup, I’M MOVING aaaaa, next week! It’s about an hour away from here by car, so quite the trek! But guess what?! Right now there’s an extremely plump and tasty 40% discount off the entire Merpola range 💫 however, only until bedtime tomorrow - then I’ve really gotta start focusing on hellish process of putting my life away into boxes & the online store(s) will close for several weeks or so whilst I settle into my new surroundings. Please help me by purchasing a little treat, then I’ll have less boxes to carry 😌 I am soooo excited to be on the other side of all of this! Can’t wait.
It’s been chaos already, the very extensive referencing checks etc took FOREVER to process and we only got the final go-ahead to move in this past Sunday, despite viewing the house weeks ago. Arghhh, I’m panicking!! Lighten my moving load, I beg of ya. And wish me luck with it all!
P.s. apols for the delay in announcing this despite teasing it the other day, I thought it would be a great idea to spend hours and hours drawing a cute new illustration instead of beginning to organise anything 🤡 am off to a great start eh?

today’s the day! i have given birth to two fresh flavours of the Shell Crown beanie with a new embroidery design, i really hope you like them. they’re available now, just in time to reach you for a chilly christmas ☃️ p.s. the newly revamped website is live too! but some corners of it are still a work in progress… so please avert your eyes from any ugly unfinished bits. they shouldn’t, but if any weird issues arise let me know & remember there’s an alternative etsy store to find my goodies on :)

hey lovebugs, one week to go! 💗 i’m very biased, but would blush a lot if someone gave me one of these. also! if you’re sitting at home with the company of a cheesecake next monday i very much endorse this plan also. let’s normalise blushing for our love of desserts (i personally have a v hot dentist appointment booked in for the 14th, maybe the dental team will get a card this year 🌹 “thanks for the filling, u were very gentle”)
