Exeter University Catholic Chaplaincy

On Saturday 27th June one of our Alumni, Quentin Léon-Dufour, was ordained to the Sacred Priesthood at Notre-Dame! Our Assistant Chaplain, Maria, was able to attend the ceremony to represent our Chaplaincy. Our heartfelt congratulations to Fr Quentin!

Two English saints, one timeless lesson: no earthly authority stands above the truth of God. St Thomas More and St John Fisher, the saints we honour today, chose conscience over comfort, truth over convenience, and God above all else.

Their faithfulness was not measured by success, popularity, or power, but by their willingness to remain true to Christ whatever the cost. They lost their positions, their freedom, and ultimately their lives, but they refused to lose their souls.

Nearly five centuries later, in a world that often demands compromise, their witness still speaks powerfully in our own age, challenging each of us to ask where our deepest loyalty truly lies.
