The King's Wark is seen here as Rutherford's Bar and was one of the top watering holes for visiting sailors. Its amazing to think that a royal residence, a store-house and an armoury, as well as a tennis court stood on these grounds. It was begun by James I in 1434, but was not completed until about 1500!
