Reeling is a style of traditional Scottish Country Dance that is a great way to meet new people and is fantastic fun for all whether you're a beginner or are a seasoned reeler. With our weekly practices we will teach you nine of the most popular dances over the course of a year. You'll also get to learn plenty of Rock ‘n’ Roll moves that you can show off on the dancefloor! Ladies and Gentlemen,
The University of Edinburgh Reeling Society are pleased to announce our newly named 2023 Members’ Ball, which will take place on Tuesday 14th November at the Ghillie Dhu.
We look forward to welcoming you for a great evening of reeling with live music from the fantastic Super Grouse. The evening will include a drinks reception, a three course supper with wine, and breakfast served in the early hours. The dress code for the evening is strictly White Tie, Highland Dress or Military Equivalent.
Ticket applications are to be made in pairs, comprising of one male and one female dancing parts. The application form will open next week so keep an eye on our social media and remember to join our mailing list! This ball is annually oversubscribed so tickets will be allocated to students at the University of Edinburgh who regularly attend practices.
