Come walk with us 🌿

On World Maternal Mental Health Day - Wednesday 6th May - we’re teaming up with Edinburgh Buggy Walks and Dr Bell’s Family Centre for a buggy walk and picnic.

We’re meeting at the community notice board on Leith Links (what3words: loved.movie.club) at 2pm and heading out together at a relaxed pace.

Walking together and being outdoors can make such a difference to how we feel. This is about being with others, shining a light on maternal mental health, and reminding ourselves that we’re not alone.

After the walk, we’ll gather for a picnic so bring a blanket and some snacks and stay as long as you like. We’ll be based by the play park.

Everyone is welcome, whether you’re coming for company, conversation, or just to get out of the house. It’s free to join and you can register on the Kin Collective eventbrite.

Kin Works Collective Voices - Your experiences of raising a family in Scotland. Kin Works is a Leith-based grassroots group of working parents. Demanding better support for families across Scotland. We meet every month, with our little ones in tow. Discussing the reality of work + family life. The emotional, the financial, the daily juggle. What started as a support group… has become something bigger. A collective ready to push for change. These are our stories. From real families, raising children in Scotland, right now. Because parents are too busy doing it all… to always speak out. So we’re raising our voices together. This 2026 Scottish Election, we’re calling for change. These are our Collective Voices.
