Our inspection teams have been operating at full capacity this last week, delivering multiple drone surveys and condition reports across the Scottish Borders, Central Belt, and East Lothian ahead of Storm Chandra. We remain fully operational over the coming week and available for emergency surveys and urgent structural emergencies as required.
Everest Rope Access and Roofing is an industry-leading provider of unmanned aerial inspections, supporting a wide range of sectors including rail infrastructure, renewable energy sites, petrochemical facilities, and both private and domestic properties.
The use of unmanned aerial vehicles for property and asset inspections significantly reduces risk by eliminating the need for working at height. UAV surveys allow safe, efficient access to hard to reach areas without the requirement for scaffolding or mechanical access systems. This non intrusive, contact free inspection method minimises disruption while delivering high quality results. A typical inspection is completed within approximately 40 minutes from take-off to landing.
All identified defects are captured using advanced high resolution imaging equipment and compiled into a detailed, client specific report. Each report includes annotated imagery, a clear written assessment of findings, and practical recommendations for remedial works where required.
All Everest Rope Access UAV pilots are fully trained, certified, and insured. Every flight is carefully planned in accordance with local airspace restrictions and logged with the Civil Aviation Authority to ensure full compliance with current legislation and guidance. Thermal imaging surveys are also available upon request.

Our inspection team has been exceptionally busy this weekend conducting multiple drone surveys and reports throughout the Scottish Borders, Central Belt, and East Lothian prior to the arrival of Storm Floris. We will remain available over the next week for emergency surveys and roof inspections.
Everest Rope Access and Roofing are industry leaders in unmanned aerial inspections across various sectors, including rail, renewable farms, petrochemical plants, private and domestic properties.
Utilising an unmanned aerial vehicle for property inspections not only eliminates the risk of falls from height but also enables us to access challenging areas safely and efficiently, eliminating the need for traditional scaffolding or mechanical access methods. UAV inspections are a non-invasive, contact-free process between the inspector and client. A standard inspection typically takes approximately 35-40 minutes from the pilot’s takeoff to landing.
All defects identified on the structure are documented using our advanced imaging cameras and subsequently incorporated into a client-specific report. The report includes all photographs taken, accompanied by a written article that elucidates the findings and proposes remedial measures.
Our technicians are fully trained and insured to pilot unmanned aerial vehicles. All flights are meticulously planned to ensure compliance with local flight restrictions and are subsequently logged with the Civil Aviation Authority to adhere to the current guidance and legislation. Thermal imaging surveys can be arranged upon request.
