WHY LABOUR FACES AN EXISTENTIAL WIPEOUT OVER ITS OPPOSITION TO BREXIT

"Although appearing different, Starmer, Streeting and Burnham are politicians cut from the same cloth. Rather than work with the reality of evidence, they have to present a false narrative to justify their ideological support for subcontracting their ability to govern to unaccountable foreign politicians and bureaucrats in Brussels.

Starmer, Streeting and Burnham all talk about the damage Brexit has done to the economy. And yet allowing for inflation, the UK’s real trade growth is 11.4%, more than double the EU’s at 5%.

Brexit is not a panacea; having taken the decision to make our own laws we have to make good judgments and cannot blame foreign institutions or politicians. Greater direct accountability means no hiding place for British politicians – but that’s how it should be.

Why become Prime Minister if you are not prepared to use the sovereignty given to you by your own people, your own voters?"
