One of our lovely clients this morning reminded me that on international polar bear day, the picture book character Lars, the little polar bear, created by Dutch author Hans de Beer, deserves a special mention. These are beautifully illustrated books, translated into many languages. If you have a small child that you would like to familiarise with German, why not read to them from the German version "Kleiner Eisbär". They are wonderful stories about courage, adventure and friendship.
