Hi there! We are Lottie and Marion, we live in Penylan and we started a decluttering and re-organising business a few months ago because we love making spaces work for our families.

We are helping our clients to bring clarity and a fresh perspective to their home to make sure they only keep what they need and love. With a decluttered space they never need to wonder where something is again!

The edit for this project was trickier than the last one (shoes) because the client never stopped loving the clothes she bought, they simply got lost in the wardrobes. Nonetheless we went through them all together and these are the clothes that made the cut. We didn’t reinvent the wheel here, but one big change was the jeans being stored by style, not colour. It sounds simple but will make a big difference to how easily she can find the jeans she wants to wear when dealing with so many.

Shoes shoes shoes! 👠👠 👢👢 👡👡

This project required a serious edit of around 200 pairs of shoes (!) followed by a serious reorganise of the shoes left. We sorted through each and every pair, deciding together which had served their purpose and which were still loved, then made zones to keep them in. The client specifically wanted to be able to find the shoes again (after a few years of having them piled in boxes in a corner a lot of which she couldn’t access), so we made sure to label every box, and even installed a light in the space under the stairs so she could see them all 💡

Emily was actually really organised and even had a spreadsheet with all her shoes listed on, but her passion for fashion and busy work life meant it all started to get away from her and she needed an outside perspective for her space.

Clutter overwhelm can happen to anyone! 🫨

This project was really fun, we managed to clear the entire space of clutter 🤩

Part of the problem was too many duplicates (like rucksacks!) and part of the solution was to optimise the space being used downstairs because items were split over three floors (easily done!) so they never knew where to look first.

The first step in a full declutter and organise is to get everything out from the space. This is easily the hardest part because a) it’s hard to imagine the place back to normal and b) it feels like you’re signing up to hours more work (which in a sense you are!).

This week we were delighted to sort out Debbie’s garage, it was a job she felt to be too overwhelming for her to tackle on her own - particularly because she had no time to put aside for it.

In fact, once we established what she actually needed back in the garage, the job was easy and she had plenty of storage right there waiting to be used!

It’s so easy to let the home toolbox get out of hand because we don’t use it very often, but a quick blitz through the contents could make the next DIY job that much easier. This one took longer than expected and required an extra box to keep things organised but now it’s ready for the next project! 💪
