Our mission is to get more UK veterans trained up to join teams in Africa and get new drones up in the air.

Every piece of kit, every pound donated, and every surplus item you send puts real tools in the hands of real rangers protecting wildlife on the front line.

Support the mission in three ways:

💰 Donate Money – 20% goes directly to the Ranger Fund for active duty equipment and training.

🎯 Sponsor Equipment – Choose from our wishlist (trauma kits, drones, comms gear, vehicles) and know exactly where your money goes.

♻️ Send Surplus Kit – Got army surplus, tools, or camping gear? We'll load it up and take it directly to where it's needed most.

Every contribution strengthens habitat security and develops ranger capability. Join us in intercepting the criminal chain at every level.

WORLD RANGER DAY THEME 2025

Rangers, Powering Transformative Conservation

As we approach World Ranger Day (31st of July), we're excited to announce this year's theme: "Rangers, Powering Transformative Conservation." This theme is closely aligned with the upcoming World Conservation Congress (WCC), which will take place in 2025.

❗️Rangers are key to delivering global targets such as the Sustainable Development Goals and specific conservation targets including the Global Biodiversity Framework - Target 3 – protecting 30% of the planet by 2030.
❗️Rangers help to create lasting, positive change for nature, by combining traditional knowledge with modern technology, they are revolutionising how we protect the planet.
❗️Rangers are at the forefront of a global movement for transformative conservation.

Rangers and Transformative Conservation:
Transformative conservation means reimagining the role of rangers - not just as protectors of nature, but as partners in community-led conservation.

Rangers play a key role in building inclusive approaches that represent and understand local rights, knowledge, and livelihoods. Achieving this vision demands real change: fair wages, quality training, and the recognition that rangers are essential to meeting our global climate and biodiversity goals.

Join the movement:
As we celebrate , we invite you to join the conversation on social media using the hashtag . Share your stories, photos, and videos showcasing the incredible work of rangers worldwide.

Stay connected:
This years’ World Ranger Day Social Media Toolkit will be available on the IRF Website from the 15th of July 2025.

*IUCN
Defines "transformative conservation" as both a process that rethinks relationships between individuals, society, and nature, and a desired outcome that conserves biodiversity while justly transitioning to net-zero emission economies and securing sustainable resource use.

Let's come together to recognize the dedication, bravery, and passion of rangers who power transformative conservation.
